Notes

• My personal favorites on the menu are twigim-soboro (a deep-fried, sugar-crusted bun with red bean filling) and twigoguma (a fried sweet potato pastry).
• Sungsimdang has several branches in Daejeon, but the main branch and the 'Boutique' branch right next to it are the most worth visiting.
• The prices offer excellent value. If you're ever in Daejeon, you have to go.
• Just so you know, Daejeon's subway only has Line 1. Don't get confused about which line to take from Daejeon Station!
• Surprisingly, some of the signature menu items can even be ordered online!
• The Boutique branch also sells a lot of delicious cakes and bread. However, the items sold there (especially ttalgi-siru, gwail-siru, and mango-siru, layered rice-cake cream cakes with strawberry, mixed fruit, and mango) can't be ordered for delivery online, so you'll need to buy them in person.
