Igane Yanggalbi Yangkkochi (Seongsu direct branch)

Notes

• Unlike the usual yangkkochi place that gives you 10 skewers per serving, this one gives you 7. That's because the meat is extremely thick! Because of that, the chewing texture and the juices and fat that come out taste quite different from standard yangkkochi!
• The onmyeon (hot noodle soup)... is just so-so. Not really necessary...?
• The mapo tofu... doesn't quite hit the flavor you'd hope for either.
• Put another way, though, this is a place where the yangkkochi alone can carry the whole meal. Getting only 7 skewers per serving might feel like a rip-off at first, but once you see the size and take a bite, it makes sense. It's just delicious, and the meat looks like chilled (not frozen) quality, which is a big plus!
