Baegok (Seongsu)
백옥 성수
A clean-style dwaeji gomtang (pork bone soup) specialist. Dongolyakbang has a richer broth, but Baegok has better meat.
Notes
- The broth doesn't taste like it's been deeply simmered. It's closer to a clean, light flavor.
- Compared to Dongolyakbang, which switched to meat still attached to the bone, this place slices the meat thin like a traditional dwaeji gomtang restaurant, so I thought the meat quality was better.
- Good if your stomach's upset and you want something light and clean. It feels even easier on the stomach than eating porridge.
- Compared to Baegok, Dongolyakbang's flavor itself is a bit richer and stronger.
